Equator Village
On the Island of Gan in Addu Atoll you will see something totally different from everything you experienced before. Gan is one of the four larger islands in Addu atoll, with all the islands linked by bridges. These large islands are home to about 25000 Maldivians. So you have an excellent opportunity to meet the local people. Gan was a Royal Air force base for the British until March 1976. The British troops were present during World War II and there is a memorial built by the British which is still there today.

90minutes by domestic flight the island of Gan is about 450KM South of Male and south of the equator.
